The Swan Hotel consists of two main areas on the ground floor, the public bar and a very spacious beer garden. The beer garden consists of a plasma screen and is ideal for watching a game of footy on a sunny afternoon.

The Swan Hotel is 50m south of East Richmond Station. If you are coming from the City, once you get off at East Richmond walk east along the path to Church St and turn left and walk 50 metres to the corner of Swan and Church St. If you are coming from the east, you will enter Adolph St from the platform, walk east along Adolph St for 50m until you reach Church St and turn left and walk 50 metres to the corner of Swan and Church St.

Tram 70 - Travels from Bourke St, Docklands, (Telstra Dome), along Flinders St in the City, (Southern Cross Station), (Flinders St Station), thru Melbourne Park, (MCG), along Swan St, (Richmond Station), (East Richmond Station), (SWAN HOTEL – tram stop 11), and onto Riversdale Rd, (Camberwell Junction), (Riversdale Station), until Riversdale Rd meets Elgar Rd in Burwood.
Tram 78 - Travels from North Richmond on the corner of Victoria St and Church St and travels along Church St thru Richmond, (Bridge Rd), (Swan St), (SWAN HOTEL – tram stop 57), (East Richmond Station), and then along Chapel St, thru South Yarra and Prahran, (Windsor Station), (Dandenong Rd), and ends on the corner of Chapel St and Brighton Rd in St Kilda East.
Tram 79 - Travels from North Richmond on the corner of Victoria St and Church St and travels along Church St thru Richmond, (Bridge Rd), (Swan St), (SWAN HOTEL – tram stop 57), (East Richmond Station), and then along Chapel St, thru South Yarra and Prahran, (Windsor Station), (Dandenong Rd), to the corner of Chapel St and Carlisle St, where it turns and travels along Carlisle St and ends in St Kilda, (St Kilda Beach – Luna Park)
